1. Who we are

This website (jaroslavdokoupil.com) and the programmes, courses, coaching, and consulting services offered on it (the “Services”) are operated by:

RQ Genesis Ltd
Company number 09253616
86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom
Email: contact@rqgenesis.com

In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to RQ Genesis Ltd. We are the data controller for the personal data described below. This policy applies to visitors and customers wherever you are in the world, and is written to meet the standards of the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and comparable data protection laws elsewhere.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact and enquiry data - name, email address, organisation, and anything you tell us in an enquiry, application, waitlist, or contact form (for example, your reason for applying, your experience with AI tools, or comments you leave us).
  • Billing data - where you pay as a company, this may include a company name, billing address, and VAT number. We do not directly collect or store payment card details - these are handled by our payment processor (see Section 5).
  • Learning portal (LMS) data - if you are enrolled in a programme, we hold your name, email, video watch progress, quiz answers and scores, feedback you submit, and any certificate we generate for you.
  • Communications - records of emails and messages between us, including support requests.
  • Marketing preferences - if you subscribe to our newsletter or opt into marketing emails, we hold your email address and engagement data (such as opens and clicks) via our email marketing provider.
  • Technical data - standard server logs, and aggregated, cookieless analytics about how the site is used (see Section 7).

We do not knowingly collect special category data (such as health or political opinions) unless you volunteer it to us directly, for example in a coaching conversation.

3. How we use your data, and our legal basis

  • To deliver a programme or service you have purchased - necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To respond to enquiries, applications, and support requests - our legitimate interest in running our business, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
  • To send you programme access details, scheduling, and essential service communications - necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • To send you marketing emails - only where you have opted in, based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • To improve our website and programmes - our legitimate interest in understanding how our Services are used, using aggregated, non-identifying data wherever possible.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations - necessary to comply with a legal obligation, such as UK tax and accounting record-keeping requirements.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, strictly to deliver our Services:

  • Resend - sends transactional emails (sign-in links, enrollment confirmations, notifications).
  • Kit.com - manages our email newsletter and marketing communications for subscribers who have opted in.
  • Neon and Vercel - host our website, database, and learning portal infrastructure.
  • Vimeo - hosts and streams our video content.
  • A payment processor - if you make a purchase through our website, a third-party payment processor handles your payment details directly. We never see or store your full card details.

We may also disclose personal data if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others.

5. International data transfers

We are based in the United Kingdom. Some of our service providers are located outside the UK and European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and we only work with providers that maintain appropriate data protection commitments.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Programme and learning portal data is generally retained for the duration of your access plus a reasonable period afterwards to support alumni communications and certificate verification, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Financial records are kept for the period required by UK tax law (currently six years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or we identify the contact as inactive.

7. Cookies and local storage

We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless - it collects aggregated, anonymised usage statistics and does not track you individually or across other websites.

The site uses your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to remember your light/dark theme preference. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Our learning portal uses a small number of essential, strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in securely. These are not used for advertising or tracking, and cannot be disabled while still using the portal, since they are required for it to function.

We do not currently use any third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@rqgenesis.com. If you are in the UK, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). If you are in the EU, you may complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

9. Automated decision-making and AI

We do not use your personal data to make any purely automated decision that produces a legal effect or similarly significant effect on you. Where our programmes include self-assessment or quiz tools, results are informational and rule-based, provided to support your own learning rather than to make decisions about you.

We may use AI-powered tools internally to help operate our business (for example, in content preparation or customer support drafting). Where we do, a human remains responsible for anything sent to you, and your personal data is not used to train third-party AI models without your consent.

Our programmes teach participants how to use third-party AI tools (such as large language model assistants). Any AI tool you choose to use as part of a programme is provided by its own third-party operator, subject to that operator's own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control.

10. Children

Our Services are intended for professional and business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transport, access controls, and secure hosting infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date.

13. Contact us

If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at contact@rqgenesis.com.
